Frances I. Kirkham, a life-long traveler and student of culture, was born into and raised in the U.S. Navy tradition. She is a graduate of the University of Hawaii with a B.A. in Sociology and an M.Ed. in Educational Foundations. Before becoming a writer, her work life focused on English as a Second Language and intercultural exchange in both teaching and administrative positions in the U.S. and abroad.
In addition to north, south, east, and west in the U.S., she has lived in Asia, the South Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.
This is her debut book written in Arizona's Sonoran Desert.
