Eric Adreon was raised on Bainbridge Island, Wa. Eric’s early childhood experiences propelled him onto a road of substance abuse. A Dance With Shadows; The Journey Beyond Sexual Abuse, Addiction and Chemical Imbalance is his personal account of his life’s journey beginning with sexual abuse as a young child. His path has included prison terms, meth houses, shooting galleries, mental institutions, recidivism, and ultimately recovery for numerous years. Remaining steadfast in his new lifestyle, in spite of having suffered from chemical imbalances, he works for Montana Tech as a mentoring supervisor, guides wilderness trips in the summers for a substance abuse treatment program, Is an addictions counseling intern, raises his two wonderful children, and writes about the horrific and enchanting experiences in his life to help others. He is currently enrolled in a Bachelors of Science program in addictions counseling where he will graduate in late 2013.
