My name is Jack Hart . I grew up in a small community way up North tip of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan aka : “God’s Country” . In many ways , it was a life waiting for it to be written about . I have such fond memories that come to life each time I revisit the area which doesn‘t seem to happen enough. On the occasions when I took my children up there to visit friends and family , we would go and see the places or people that meant something to me. It seemed as though no matter where the meridians lay, there was a memory that was velcroed to it and with that memory , a story to be told. At night I would stay up with my children in the loft at our cabin and they would verbally yearn for more of what I’d remember from my childhood days and I would continue on and on until they were out and soaking it into their subconscious . I decided that it would be fun to get on the computer and start listing everything that tickled the funny bone or surfaced the poignant memories in any way. At some point, I began writing some narratives that the kids could keep some time down the line and reflect on the days of that story telling much like I was reliving my own when I did. Eventually, I had numerous stories on hand and the thought of Wonder Years meeting up with Camp Wobegone prompted me into getting it published
