When her disappearance becomes a murder investigation, a glaring police error in finding her is also revealed. It leads to DCI Patterson being appointed SIO, and the pressure is firmly back on his shoulders. He not only has to find Cheryl Kerr's murderer, but in doing so, try and save the reputation of Glasgow West End police station.
