"The Secret to a happy life is:
Choose something you love and dedicate your life to making it the best it can be....I chose you".
With these words as my starting point, I set about to write a vignetted chronicle of some of the more memorable moments my family and I shared as my children were growing up. Most of what found it's way into "For What It's Worth, Love Dad" is pretty funny. But since real life isn't a sitcom,I've included some of the really frightening things, as well.
In writing this book, I was able to rediscover a lot of the magic my family experienced in those early years. And in sharing these moments of magic with you, the reader, I hope you'll experience a return to the magic of your children's lives as well and perhaps even stumble across a few forgotten memories from your own childhood too.
Publishing "For What It's Worth, Love Dad" has been a remarkable and singularly frightening effort for me. It's not an easy task to put one's feelings and experiences on paper and share them with the world. But thanks in no small part to the responses of my readers, it has been a wonderful experience.
