What if a member of your family was wreaking havoc on your life?

Julia loves Chance, her family's adolescent Golden Retriever. Her twelve-year-old daughter, Ashley, is devoted to him. Yet Chance is out of control: chasing cars, running away, jumping on everyone, digging, chewing; leaving a path of destruction in his wake.

When Chance is nearly hit by a car after bolting out the front door, Julia is at her wits' end. She and her husband break the news to Ashley that Chance has to go. Ashley can't bear the idea of Chance being sent to a new home, but what can she do to save him?
