Nicky's got a tough life. His mum's gone, his dad's on bail and his brother Kenny needs looking after. It's still dark out when Kenny drags Nicky from his bed, making him a witness to the senseless killing of an innocent animal.

The two brothers manage to save something from the horror and it changes them in ways they never expected.
