More Details

This is an individual chapter of Theory of Constraints Handbook. This chapter presents the Constraint Management Model (CMM) as a basis for development and deployment of strategy for commercial for-profit, not-for-profit, and government organizations. The CMM combines the strengths of the Logical Thinking Process (LTP) and the OODA loop conceived by John Boyd. The OODA loop as a framework guiding planning and action is explained in detail. The LTP as a system and environmental analysis tool is presented in the context of the OODA loop as a means of rapidly creating, deploying, and adjusting strategy in a dynamic, rapidly changing world. Examples of applying the OODA loop and the LTP in a strategic setting are provided.
