This compilation of stories was written by William (Bill) Lloyd beginning at age ninety-two. A lively and entertaining story teller, he was encouraged by his daughter to put some of his experiences into book form for his family, not only those living now, but future generations.

Bill, as most knew him, had more tales to tell if only life had given him the time. He was a career Navy man whose experiences included becoming the 6th Fleet's light heavyweight champion boxer.

He served in the South Pacific aboard an aircraft carrier during World War II. Later, when the U.S. Navy helped evacuate the civilian populace trying to escape the brutal takeover, Lloyd served aboard a ship helping refugees.

After achieving a rank of Lieutenant Commander, he retired in 1955, returning to Montana with his family. He lived over fifty years in the old brick house.
