Bellamy York is the Director of Security for the Miami Thunder. With a background in law enforcement and a history with the Thunder, she was a logical choice for the position. But now one of the players has a stalker and she’s dealing with an insubordinate staff member. Could her life get any more complicated?

Joseph Rutledge Maddox makes his living as a threat assessment expert. Brought in by Tyler Dare of Double Dare Security to work with the organization as a consultant, he’s immediately on Bellamy’s team in more ways than one. But he has a protective streak a mile wide, and old-fashioned ideas about how a man protects the woman he’s attracted to.

While Bellamy and Maddox are falling in love and feeling hopeful for a future, they have to deal with stalkers and shooters, one rough and tough threat expert who has to learn to curb his protective tendencies, and a woman who needs figure out how to ask for help.
