Known for creating, the Kewpie comic character and doll, her professional and private life had many unique side stories. From the late 1890’s until 1909, Rose was an illustrator for many new magazines and newspapers. Her work appeared on covers and interior work for stories by well-known authors of the time. Ladies Home Journal, Cosmo (literary mag. at that time), Good House Keeping, Life, Times to mention a few. She had a following of people who collected her work and followed her career which why we have in 2017 many examples. As a well-known illustrator she inspired the work of Walt Disney and Norman Rockwell. The book is filled with color illustrations and comics not seen for many years.
