As a professional scientist, I have been fascinated throughout my career by the fine line between bizarre but true scientific fact, and realistic hard science fiction.
I have tried to write from both sides. In 2016 I published "Modern Poisons," which explored the world of Toxicology, and how chemicals, released into the environment, are acting in unusual and unexpected ways. Doing research on that book directly led to my recent hard science fiction novel,"Twist".

I wanted to write for the lay science audience as I believed that one does not have to go far from the realities of current scientific knowledge to find enough source material to write compelling fiction. So far that conviction has been, quite happily, upheld.
