Corbie Mitleid has been an actress, motivational speaker, editor, video producer, legal assistant, executive recruiter, and Power Behind the Throne to several CEOs.

Now she is a full time intuitive counselor (psychic medium and past life specialist, if you're into metaphysics) and author, which is proving to be far more fun.

As Joellyn (Dorkin) Auklandus, she has a 35 year association with the graphic novel series ELFQUEST, for whom she held positions as diverse as Administrative Director, Associate Editor, and eventual writer for some of their major titles (KAHVI, HIDDEN YEARS, THE WILD HUNT). She created four key characters – Teir, Lehrigen, Khorbasi and Angrif Djun – who are now considered “canon” and have pivotal roles in the Final Quest, which in 2018 wraps up the storyline Wendy and Richard Pini began in 1978.

Corbie’s first book in the The Self-Development Project series, CLEAN OUT YOUR LIFECLOSET, was released through Fire Through Spirit Press in 2017. It garnered universally enthusiastic reviews, with Kirkus Reviews calling it “Funny, straightforward and non-preachy… Mitleid does not intimidate or taunt readers with unattainable goals. Rather, her book is an approachable, supportive, and unassuming manual in achieving self-actualization through growth and spiritual exploration. Corbie’s second book changes direction from self-help and improvement to a solid guidebook for the metaphysical world in which she works as a professional. While there are literally hundreds of books on psychic development to help those who want to discover their own gifts, THE PSYCHIC YELLOW BRICK ROAD is the first book in years to explain the ins and outs of using psychic guidance provided by a professional intuitive. Just as there are people who want to purchase fine art but not paint themselves, Corbie explains that good psychic guidance is an art – and this book will keep people from settling for a forgery. The Kindle release date is February 2, 2018, with the paperback version following in early May.

Her next project, due out at the end of 2018, will focus on Spiritual Awakening. As Corbie explains, “Spiritual Awakening comes to almost everyone, though it is not always recognized or acknowledged. But in today’s world, when things are changing with lightning speed, the old world parameters are collapsing and old answers are no longer sufficient; our souls want to wake us up to our true potential and celestial nature. Corbie lives in upstate New York with her husband, a professional historian, and three large and exuberant Maine Coon cats.
