Alongside her distinguished legal career, she is widely celebrated as one of Malta’s foremost contemporary authors, having published ten bestselling thriller novels in the Maltese language.

Dr. Calleja has also written three acclaimed television drama series (29 episodes each) ; Rubini, Eklissi, and Friefet - all of which were successfully broadcast on a local television station.

In addition to writing, she has directed Ħażen u Mrar and, together with Tania Bartolo (D3Masque Media Productions), serves as producer for various popular television series.
Her literary repertoire further includes several short stories previously published in the newspaper Illum and on social media.
