VOLT, pen name of Vincenzo Fani Ciotti, was an italian writer, poet and journalist born in a noble and aristocratic family.

In 1916 he met Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in Viareggio and joined the circle of Futurism movement and contributed to the concepts of Futurist Fashion and the Synthetic Theatre. In 1921 he published the sci-fi novel La fine del mondo (The End of the World).

Later he became dissociated from Futurism and became fascinated by early Fascism, he worked for several national newspapers during the 20's. His work and ideas had a heavy influence on Julius Evola's work and philosophy, which he always rejected to recognize.

He died at 39 by tubercolosis.
