Amber Herbert is a (mostly) speculative fiction writer living in Colorado Springs with her husband and two gremlins. She is currently revising book one of her dark fantasy/sci-fi epic series and penning the first draft of a small-town monster story reminiscent of Stephen King's It.

When she's not writing or reading, Amber enjoys baking, going to emo/punk/heavy metal gigs, playing board games, and critiquing film and TV.
