Suede D. Goldmann penned his first fairy tale at age twelve, winning a local contest that sparked a lifelong love of storytelling. A few years later, a prize-winning ghost story hinted at what would become his true passion: mystery and murder.

Said to hail from the snowy, possibly mythical Winterland, Suede is as elusive as a four-leaf clover. With a detective’s eye and a taste for secrets, he writes sharp, suspenseful stories laced with dark wit and just enough chill to keep readers turning pages.

His novel Malaria is a slow-burning, twist-laden tribute to the golden age of the classic whodunit. It earned a Gold Medal Winner — Mystery/Detective at the Global Book Awards, Third Place Winner — Mystery/Crime at the DBT Literary Awards. It was a Finalist in the Mystery/Suspense category at the Literary Global Book Awards.

In 2026, Goldmann’s debut novel—referred to by the author as his “lost book”—will be re-released as The Fifth Silence. First published in June 2022 under a different title, it has been fully edited and reborn with a new cover, revealing the definitive version of the story at last.
