Miguel d'Alte nasceu em 1990, no Porto, onde reside. Mestre em Finanças, formou-se na Universidade do Porto e trabalhou na área financeira durante cerca de uma década.
Viveu na República Checa, França, Angola e Luxemburgo. Persegue as suas grandes paixões: a literatura e a escrita, mas também viajar, a história, o rock 'n' roll. Tem dois cães, Buk e Lolita.
Estudou escrita de ficção e guionismo. Elege como suas principais influências Charles Bukowski, Michel Houellebecq e João Tordo, e, no género thriller, Joël Dicker e os policiais nórdicos.
Em setembro de 2022, publicou o seu primeiro livro, "O Lento Esquecimento de Ser", um romance ambientado em Paris durante o Maio de 1968, e, em outubro de 2023, "Os Crimes do Verão de 1985", um aclamado thriller sobre um caso arquivado, atualmente na segunda edição, e que será brevemente adaptado ao grande ecrã. O seu terceiro livro, o romance "A Origem dos Dias", foi publicado em setembro de 2024 e considerado no Jornal de Letras , pelo premiado escritor e ensaísta Miguel Real, como um dos melhores romances do ano.
Em novembro de 2025, publicou o seu quarto livro, "Todas as Famílias Felizes", um romance policial sobre o desaparecimento de uma criança de 12 anos, no Porto, que tem sido um sucesso de vendas.

Miguel d'Alte was born in 1990 in Porto, where he currently lives. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Porto and worked in the financial sector for about a decade.
He has lived in the Czech Republic, France, Angola, and Luxembourg. He pursues his great passions: literature and writing, as well as traveling, history, and rock 'n' roll. He has two dogs, Buk and Lolita.
He studied fiction writing and screenwriting. His main influences include Charles Bukowski, Michel Houellebecq, and João Tordo, and in the thriller genre, Joël Dicker and Nordic crime fiction.
In September 2022, he published his first book, The Slow Forgetting of Being, a novel set in Paris during May 1968. In October 2023, he released The Crimes of the Summer of 1985, an acclaimed thriller about a cold case, currently in its second edition and soon to be adapted for the big screen. His third book, the novel The Origin of Days, was published in September 2024 and was considered by the Jornal de Letras, by the award-winning writer and essayist Miguel Real, as one of the best novels of the year.
In November 2025, he published his fourth book, All Happy Families, a crime novel about the disappearance of a 12-year-old child in Porto, which has become a bestseller.
