Carr, 'Heartburn' by Nora Ephron, 'The Penelopiad' by Margaret Atwood, 'I Capture the Castle' by Dodie Smith and 'The Red Tent' by Anita Diamant.

I'm on GoodReads as both a reader and a writer. As a reader, I understand the value of critical reviews - they can be funny and illuminating, and sometimes pique my interest in reading a book more than a rave would. As a writer, I know they can sting and want to avoid bad karma. Therefore, I'm a generous marker, and my GoodReads rating system runs the gamut from 4* to 5*.
