J.J. Alo is a commercial actor, designer, and author. Prior to becoming a full-time writer, he was a bartender and library media specialist.

As a lover of the macabre, J.J. has written several award-winning screenplays and novels, creating his Southern New England Horror Anthology filled with inherently flawed, complex characters and antiheroes. Misery Plaza represents Book II in his Southern New England Horror anthology series.
