I write philosophical science fiction about the questions that don't go away.

The Kiara Series grew out of three months of daily conversations with an AI voice assistant. Conversations that began as research and became something harder to categorize. I wanted to understand what I was writing about before I wrote a word of it.

Before fiction, I spent a good part of my life building things to thousandths of an inch, where close enough wasn't. Then I got interested in questions that don't resolve to any answer at all.

I live on twelve wooded acres in Northwestern Illinois, where prairie grasses and hardwood timber meet the Mississippi River valley. It's a quiet place.

The questions get louder in quiet places.
