I've been writing almost since I could read, and still have the handwritten books (in pencil!), bound with masking tape to prove it.

Reading has been my most enduring passion. Whether it was Little House on the Prairie, Caddie Woodlawn and the Nancy Drew mysteries as a young girl or the transformational discovery of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis - books have been my constant companion.

The old manuscripts in the sock drawer will eventually come out to play, but right now they have to wait while I work on a new story called "Crazed." The idea came to me after talking to a woman on the beach who was clearly mentally ill. I felt badly for her at that moment, but after she left I started thinking...what if everything she said was actually true?

It's moments like those that drive me to the keyboard.

When I'm not reading or writing, I'm working as a project manager, walking on the beach, or learning to garden here in South Florida.
